The Riparian House

The Riparian House is placed below the crest of a hillock at the foothills of the Ghats near Mumbai. The top of a vegetated roof merges with the top of the hillock, hiding the house from the approach.



Tala Treesort

The Tree Villa perches on the cliff of a 160 acre hilltop 'treesort' property surrounded by a meandering river landscape. The project is a celebration of this breathtaking landscape by creating a series of blurred transitional spaces with different levels of transparency and openness within this forested tropical setting.

This 80 sq.m. apartment is designed with an adaptable and open arrangement. Re-moving dispensable walls between rooms and replacing them with objects optimizes space. The interiors while minimal yet intricate in detailing, are embellished with a subtle collection of textures and materials.



House on a Stream

With a stream running through the house, this retreat in Alibag is delicately woven into the landscape, alternately opening up and closing itself to the different charactheristics of the site.



Etania Green School

In Sabah, on the Malaysian island of Borneo, there are many thousands of stateless children who have become marginalised due to their status. Architecture BRIO and Billionbricks design a green school prototype for the Etania Schools. Etania runs Learning Centres for children of migrant labourers who have no access to education.



Waikiki Wetland Resort

Strenghtening the existing ecosystem the design for a Resort in Vengurla recreates a waterscape with interconnected ponds and waterbodies around which homes are clustered as stilted pavilions. The waterscape surrounding the creek and its diversity as a living ecosystem will promote a riparian habitat for migrating birds and endangered wildlife.



Himalayan Mountain Retreat

A duplex apartment on one of the top floors of the 60 storey apartment in South Mumbai offers dramatic views of the city. The plan is organized along the principle of creating independently articulated rooms, which are strung along a sequential path; organizing relationships, creating this rich and dynamic experience.

Partly a building, partly a challenge course, the Laureus sponsored Learning Pavilion, located on the Magic Bus Centre for Experiential Learning, is an interactive building used as a gathering space and play area for underprivileged children while they are on their weekend camps.

The proposed Butterfly Reserve in Sikkim aims to be a celebration of this winged creature, found in abundance in the region. Owing to the high variation in vegetation and climate and its unique geographical location, Sikkim represents one of the butterfly hotspots in the world. 



Spiral Doll House

the Spiral Dollhouse is a hybrid between a 1/6 scale version of a real house, an architectural model, and a barbie doll diorama, The house has three stories and can be viewed and played with from all four sides.



Ballygunge Manor

Located in Ballygunge, an area to the south of the centre of Kolkata the manor was in a dilapitated state like many with a similar fate. Through strategic interventions, the garden and rooms inside the main house have been re-organized, to make the garden become a part of the daily life inside the manor again.
